Cumberland Road Coffee House is owned by Ken and Amanda Berg, and Cyrus Fontaine.

It started as a conversation in the Spring of 2023. "Have you thought any more seriously about starting a coffee shop?" Amanda asked. Cyrus, a coffee roaster and enthusiast, was planning to ask Amanda the same question, on the same day.

Amanda, a life-long baker, had been looking for opportunities in the hospitality world for a few years. They quickly set their eyes on the old Phillips 66 filling station on the St. Elmo interstate exit. By early summer, they were breaking ground, and on December 4th, Cumberland Road Coffee House opened its drive-thru windows for the first time.

"Our motto, No Bad Mornings, is about more than just a great cup of coffee," Cyrus says. "It's about real human connection and community." Cumberland Road is guided by that core value in every avenue of their operations, from the friendly and personal service at the drive-thru to their relationship-based ingredient and coffee sourcing.
